On January 30, at the construction site of the Yangtze River Road-Rail Bridge on the Beijing-Taipei Highway in Tongling, Anhui, construction workers are engaged in the precise adjustment of the main cable strands. On that day, the final main cable strand was precisely adjusted into its saddle. The next steps will involve advancing procedures such as tensioning, cable clamping, and suspension cable installation. The bridge spans a total length of 11.88 kilometers, with a main span of 988 meters. Once completed, the project will serve three functions for cross-river transportation: a high-speed highway, an intercity railway, and a freight railway, contributing significantly to the improvement of the regional comprehensive transportation network.
